The Deluxe twin lever model for corking your own homemade wine, sauces or oils.
Twin lever system allows better leverage over the bottles you intend to cork leading to a substantially easier time corking your wine in comparison to using a small hand corker. For best results we recommend wine bottles made to be corked, screw type bottles may have a narrower neck which can make finding the right sized cork difficult.
When using corkers your soft corks will end up with an indent from the shuttle mechanism, this will only change the aesthetics of your cork while the functionality is unchanged.
Tips for using corks:
- Soak or dip corks in a potassium metabisulfite solution
- Allow 1.5 - 2.0 cm of headspace between wine and cork
- Add a preservative to your wine before bottling
- Soften corks before inserting into bottle by steaming or soaking in a warm metabisulfite solution
